| No loitering at the park!!!
No tossing a ball around either! I would say that you could just sit
on a park bench and enjoy the day but that would be loitering so you can't
do that. Who determines whether a person is loitering or simply
enjoying a day at the park? I guess it would depend on who your
friends are. So, the next time you are at the park you had better
keep moving around so that someone doesn't think you are loitering.
Just make sure you don't toss a ball around. Using common sense and
not doing activities that would endanger the kids playing at the park goes
without saying, but this seems a bit ridiculous. I wonder what the
problem was that necessitated these rules?
Oh, since we are posting rules do you think we could get someone to post the Bocce' rules so that they aren't slashed apart with a knife? Perhaps the people with the knives pose more of a safety problem than the ones "loitering" at the park. We have been thanked by a number of people for posting the rules at the court since most of us are new to the game. It is a shame that some idiot keeps slashing the signs just because we are the ones who posted them. We waited for the folks that advocated for the courts to put up the rules but that never happened. I guess they already know the rules. |
