Much better than the sucky wire that was there before. Also: The new Scotia Gym is looking sweet! One of our local Humboldt County family members helped with the construction of it. Pretty cool! It's a beautiful thing and a great new asset to the community. We have some ball players in the family that will be giving it a personal try. I have a couple seasons of basketball footage with the Wolff kids teams in the old gym. Fun times. It was sad to see go since it was in fine shape. Insurance liability blew that deal... 12.31.23 End of the year. Special thanks to Coach Troy for a recent picture of our great friend and highschool Principal, vice principal, coach and teacher. All of you are great! The news of my old Math teacher still being around at 100 is incredible. It's a been a tough year with the losss of Spanky. Another victim of cancer. It is starting to seem like one after the other as I get older. Our other friend Mark's sister also died of Cancer. She was a teacher and the nicest girl. Cancer isn't fair. I remember back in 5th grade. I was at my pal Roger's house and in his living room there was a picture of a pretty young girl. I said "Who is that girl" Roger said. That's my older sister. She died of Leukemia at 12 years of age. I said "Oh no! she is so pretty." at the time I was quite clueless about what cancer was. I still remember her picture on the mantle. Amazing how some of our memories just burn in. Tick tock goes the clock. 2024 here we come. Year of the Dragon. It's going to be a hot bumpy ride. Try and hold on if you can. Steve is all about family. Old School is the best school! Almost all the schools I worked at were old schools. I learned a lot in those old Schools including the. She was like a nice girl friend who was gullible. So many memories and stories over nearly 40 years. It's tough to know where to start. Barbara returned to college after Tim and Sharon grew up and moved away - she wanted to teach. Barbara was a 3rd grade teacher for many years in Sacramento, Tehachapi and Las Vegas. She particularly liked some of her hispanic students as they were so polite and their parents were involved. It seemed like a good job she had to me. Perfect for people like Barbara and other's in Sharons family due to the fact that they seem to be hardwired to be nice. Sometimes that is a dangerous thing to be.
