The acket contains the documents that councilmembers receive and it is the only place to see any details for the agenda items. or how about Corruption on Steroids - LA Times The lesson here is that even long time systemic corruption can be stopped. Staying silent is the same as giving your permission to be robbed blind by a select few bullies. Read the Rio Dell public works investigation report for yourself to see the 40+ people that had detailed knowledge of what was going on for years and did nothing about it. Does anyone believe that it was only the former public works director involved? We don't think so either.

Secret FISA court order demands Verizon hand over all call data on every customer - The Guardian Verizon is barred from telling customers that they are turning over all of their data to the FBI on a daily basis by court order. It is believed that all of the other carriers have been given similar orders.
6.4.13 Dollar General store set to replace miniature golf in Rio Dell - see plans. It appears that a deal is in the works to tear out the mini golf course and relocate it somewhere else in Humboldt County; replacing it with a retail chain.

An annual fee would be charged for every rental property in Rio Dell for yearly inspections. The idea to expand the inspections to all housing has already been brought up. Part 1 and Part 2 Don't miss the brief discussion near the end of Part Two regarding the state of the roads in the Riverside Dr. area and how they could not have been resurfaced even if the voters had passed the $6 million dollar bond measure. Council member Wilson notes that the fact there is no asphalt to resurface on those roads should have been found by the person assessing them for the project originally.

1.4.13 Attorney billing statements received show $20,054.86 spent by the city to try and prevent the release of public records related to the Public Works Investigation Report. Combined with settlement for attorney fees brings the total cost to taxpayers at $35,054.86 spent by the city to try and bury the report.
